Introduction

If you are interested in setting up your own Inventory services business this training program may be for you.

 

Unlike many Franchises or classroom based training courses provided by industry bodies like APIP or ARLA, Inventory Management Services provides a complete program which includes actual on the job experience.

 

Our training program allows you to shadow us in our day-to-day business activities, so that you can gain hands-on, real life insight into how the business works and the daily issues you may run up against.

 

Typically you should come away with the following:

  • A good insight and understanding into how to set up and run your own Inventory services business in your local area.

  • The knowledge of what equipment and skills you will need to produce high quality inventory, inspection, check in and check out reports.

  • A list of suppliers for support services and equipment

  • A complete list of software you will need, and importantly our own document templates and shortcuts, which you will be able to modify to your own design.

  • Insurance company details that can provide you with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

  • An understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of the two main methods of working;

  • On site dictation and off site transcription OR Using Inventory Application Software.

  • A plan on how to market your new business, including how to set up your web site.  

  • Contact details of the industry professional bodies and the services they provide.

  • An insight into how the Deposit Protection Scheme adjudicates on tenancy disputes and how to help your customers understand the process and likely outcomes.

  • The confidence to go ahead and start your business.

We will take you out on our real life business bookings over the course of either one or two consecutive days and take you through every step of the production of a high quality inventory, including typing-up the document and the invoicing process. Over the course of the two days we will discuss all aspects of the business with you and answer any questions you may have on a one to one basis. Please note that this course is limited to two people at a time.

 

The fees for this training are;

 

1 day is £200.00 per person.

2 days is £300.00 per person.  

 

Fees are not subject to VAT, and are payable at the time of booking.

 

A typical day will run from 10am to 4pm.

 

Hotel, travel and subsistence expenses are to be arranged by yourselves.

 

We can provide details of local hotels that offer good food and good value accommodation.
